Of course, but no one here ever disagreed with that.

The Bible is similar to mythology in the sense that much myth is also a symbolic formulation of the quest for truth. However, the Bible is much more advanced in its symbolic formulations than most myth.

As for God being created in man's image, I would have to agree with you that man's conception of the sacred has been unduly anthropomorphized at least in terms of the image most people have of God. Certainly human beings have a propensity to anthropomorphize everything. Comes with the territory, I guess.

However, one's faith in God or the creation process or whatever one wishes to call it, is just that, a matter of faith, not knowledge. We don't KNOW about God or the image he created the world in, if in fact one believes in God's role in creation. Of course we can infer by looking around.
