It's their elitist POV. They are so full of themselves &
they are absolutely convinced their superior intellect
seperates themselves from you, the unwashed masses. It's
from this POV that they talk down to (at) you. From their
elitist perch, they cannot grasp that they have done or
said anything untoward at all.
