Explain these crummy tactics..

Hey, I don't approve of the tactic, nor do I approve of the state legislature walking away from its responsibility. One is as bad as the other.

But the inference that gerrymandering is somehow a "republican" feature should be avoided; Democrats have a long-established history of doing precisely the same thing. That doesn't make it okay, but it does at least bring some fairness that the republicans have been willing to challenge the democrats on this.

Excuse me......there is no inference needed. No state in the union has ever had a redistricting done twice in three years. This takes gerrymandering to a whole new level and its the GOP who is making it happen.

And the best you can say is "I don't like the tactic". Well, I don't either and you can take the halos off the GOP. They don't deserve them.
