I do not quite understand how you can discuss contingencies that are mere guesses. As far as I am concerned, the only matter worth discussion is whether there is a reasonable conscience claim.
Of course there's a reasonable conscience claim, at least an arguable one.
That and a couple of bucks will get you a Big Mac.
What is the point of having a claim if you can't practically obtain whatever it is you claim, or if it would be wrong to claim it, or if it would produce a violent counter claim. The Israelis have a reasonable claim to the Holy Land, too. Guess having a reasonable claim is all that matters. Not! Feasibility matters. Right and wrong matters. Justice matters. I've never before seen you loathe to speculate. Do what-ifs. Or do, what did you call it, mind experiments?
I can think of a lot of reasons for not wanting to discuss this, the fact that we have already beaten it and each other to death being primary, but not wanting to speculate on contingencies is bogus. I've never known you to be loathe to investigate, to speculate, to do what-ifs, and, what did you call them, mind experiments? If Mojo were planning to go into business, what would you recommend for his business plan, his advertising, his facility? Those are not contingencies that are mere guesses. It's what every business person does.
BTW, do you have any thoughts on that hospital that only allowed whites to treat that family? |
