First off, let me say that I voted for Bush and I completely agree with our policy with respect to Iraq, Afganistan, Israel, etc.

However, I also agree that the polls are underplaying resentment towards Bush, and I completely agree with parallels drawn between Bush and Davis.

Both have WAY overspent their budgets.
Both have WAY overexaggerated the extent of problems in order to maintain office.
Both have done little to actually solve the situations at hand and have profited politically from keeping the public from knowing exactly what is going on.
Both have deliberately made the democratic process harder to maintain office and power.
Both have spread FUD in order to get the average person to give up their democratic freedom.

I don't really agree with the term blood lust. I think we have deliberately underperformed militarily in Iraq and Afganistan at the expense of young lives and we have deliberately overstayed our welcome. What's worse, I think we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg for what is to come. While I can see some moderate changes in policy between dems and republicans, I think that both parties have a vested interest in maintaining the current turmoil and quite frankly it makes me sick.

Fire em all I say!
