I just saw an article where our school district is now spending $8,600 per student per year on grades K-12. It's expected to go up at least $1,000 per year for the next several years. That works out to over $200,000 per student to get a piece of paper that's worth the same as a GED.

Board members are proud that the newest school has been built on 80 park like acres. 80 acre yard for one school building? Now they are having meetings over banning Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men. It might be offensive to the retarded. If they're that retarded they won't be able to read the damn thing anyway.
