I have given plenty of credence to that. I was among the first to suggest that this wasn't the best choice of a line of work for Mojo. However, I respect his right to proceed in his own way, however foolish. I don't think it makes sense for the government to be his nanny or anyone else's by taking the initiative to prohibit him from pursuing his conscience. I also expect him to take the consequences like a man if he gets in trouble for his poor judgment.

It's a statement of principle that individuals are primarily responsible for what they do with their lives and for having the primary responsibility of getting themselves out of the messes they hve gotten themselves in.


You'll get no argument from me on that.

EDIT: I think the basic difference between us is that you want to restrain him and I want to give him plenty of rope, and if he hangs, he hangs.
