Hi Gottfried:

No that isn't the cause (i did check that one). I've been using google trying to find a solution. I"ve been reading where outlook now automatically blocks exe and some other file extensions due to security but the excel files should be xls so I'm not sure what is going on.

And both clients just recently upgraded to XP and we didn't have the problem before.

I did just try to find a file sent in July and now thats not there either as an attachment (with the worms this summer I have keep up with ms updates so something went on here).

I have to take a break and come back to this on Monday. There is one site that I have to register for that may have a solution.

Thanks

Tim
