God, what a great piece on Rumsfeld. You should have posted it all. The advice Nixon gives Rumsfeld is priceless. What a great President Nixon would have made in 1960. And what a better world we would be living in.

We wouldn't still have that bearded bastard in Havana, for one thing. There would have been no "Cuban Missile Crisis." And Vietnam would have been over with quickly. Nixon would not have had to bear the "Who lost China" syndrome that Kennedy and Johnson were stuck with. He could have never gone in.

James Mann comes to the same conclusion on Rummy that I have. This is the last major job he will ever have. He wants to leave a mark. So he can really kick ass and take names at the DOD.
