On this we agree. JFK functioned as president while having drug problems. Rush did his show very effectively while on drugs and not in jail. The war on drugs ia a costly failure that ruins more lives than the alternative. It corrupts politicians and police. My friend Prolife like many others is terrified by the thought of this but it doesn't matter because it happens anyway. Indeed the pushers profit motive encourages them to seek out new users and promote the culture that encourages the use. Look at the glamorization of the ghetto and the new wiggers that seek to embrace this low life despair. It's all due to drugs and the enormous profit in drugs. Rush Limbaugh ought to be a wake up call to the right in seeing this though. People for whatever reason demand escape from physical pain social pain or inner pain. More thought needs to be done on regulating this process so as not to throw people in jail when they seek to escape but to steer them to the best alternatives. Designer drugs may hold the key. Drugs that regulate this escape without ending up in violence and a life of crime. England has done a good job on this in regulating its addicts. They hold jobs and actually function
