found a rather large nest of shelves with books piled every which way. The point was to just see what was there. Fun. But then I asked the owner if he had that book. No, he says. How could he have possibly known that book and whether that book was in the random piles on the shelves and the floor. But he did.


Sounds like a great day. Autumn now, and some color. I chanced on CSPAN doing a bit on the State Dinner for the Kenya President. They had the Usher, Executive Chef, White House Florist, and pastry Chefs for the White House in the decorated Dining room going over the settings and menu. Interesting.

These old book stores can make a bundle now by inventorying and posting their books online at Ebay, etc. Clean out the entire stock. The first of the year I listed all of my old fiction and sold it all on Amazon.
