Don, I think the "sell on the news" is coming from shorters who try to start a selling stampede, and have failed. In Juniper's specific case, there was a sell-off in July also - a 10% from 15 to 13.50, after earnings. But the sellers missed a subsequent rise to 19. This also happened to my largest position - WDC. a vicious 40% sell-off. Followed by a 70% rise.

So very likely the shorts will play their game. However, with employment and incomes rising, stocks whose business is improving will get higher. Regardless of current valuation. Because we are still on that track. And will likely stay, until revenue levels are stable. Then valuation will play its role. And possibly there will be a downward adjustment, when it is clear what gross margin level are at full revenue operation.
