The air only has half the O2 it had before the industrial revolution yet open burning is still allowed. Not even one study exists on how much O2 is burned up with one small open fire. Ever wonder why obesity is such a problem? Well the body burns off calories using O2. Less O2 in the air, less metabolism of fat in your body. More stored as unused. If your body was subjected to a 50% reduction in O2 right now you couldn't do anything at all. Probably could not do much more than shuffle around. But a gradual reduction over a few hundred years from 38% O2 content to 19% as has happened the body adjusts. It just doesn't work as good. And the harm isn't as noticeable. Less work, less muscle strength. Less endurance. Ever wonder why several hundred years ago certain Indian tribes had warriors that could run a hundred miles in a day? Not today!
