China Huaneng Power Jan-Sep Output Up 31% On Year HONG KONG (Dow Jones)--Huaneng Power International Inc. (HNP) said Monday its electricity output expanded 31% on year to 66.05 billion kilowatt hours in the first three quarters of the year, driven mainly by strong demand. The mainland China power producer attributed the expanded output to "significant increase in power demand and power consumption in the regions where the company's power plants operate due to a steady growth of the national economy."
