<<The traditional method of establishing a nation .... Look at US history....>>

I very much agree with the parallel of the Palestinians being displaced much like the Native Ameericans - by superior economic, political, and military power. And both were very much driven by "manifest destiny".
...But I disagree with whitewashing it by calling it "traditional". It was an era in the history of civilization that wound down in the first half of the twentieth century and pretty much stopped with the advent of the UN. It is no longer acceptable to forcibly displace native populations.
...And no - that does not mean that I advocate trying to undo the displacements of the past. Neither removing Europeans from the New World, nor removing the Europeans from Israel. Such thing can never be undone and put right and attempting to do so will only create yet another wave of the disposessed.

<<Were there Arab terrorists who killed Jewish civilians? Yes.>> Yes - and no.
...The Jewish exiles from Europe were the ones who brought terrorism into the region. They used it to drive the British out. It was subsequently picked up by the Algerians who used it to drive the French out. And that model was then picked up by Arafat et. al. to try and drive the Israelis out. A rather wicked irony - talk about one's sins coming home to roost.

As for who started it and who is right/who is wrong - you article is a good counterpoint to the website that I noted. Isn't it funny how easy it is to find half the story but you never seem to find the whole story?
...But then again - the answer is simple - they are all guilty as hell. And as a punishment, they are all condemned to life in hell. And that is just exactly what they are getting. So as they sew, so shall they reap.

FYI - I am not a religious person but I accept that religions represent very evolved works of practical philosophy - if you will - rules to sustain and grow a civilization by. And as such I accept the concepts of good and evil as situations where the civilization grows and gets stronger (good) and the civilization self destructs and declines (evil).
...And for another bit of irony - there was another "philosophy" that came out of that region at another time when a superior force operating under a manifest destiny was crushing the indiginous population. And that philosophy advocated "turning the other cheek" over the "eye for an eye" approach that frequently spirals in a destructive (evil) manner. And, in faact, it worked. That philosophy was the driving force behind the most advanced civiliations - the ones that dominate the world today.

Hmmmmm...
