If you review my post you'll see that I wasn't claiming to have more than one ID. I was indicating that there are others out there who do and openly admit to it.

Sorry if my post confused you. I intended to show that SI wasn't doing anything about known multi-id's while here they were going on a witch hunt.

That's why I no longer provide my ss# to any retailers,etc unless I need to (mortgage, broker acct,etc).

Yes I can. But one doesn't need to have more than one ID to do that. I nor anyone else here should believe or be influenced by what we read, especially when it is impossible to know who we're speaking to, without verifying or doing your own homework. BTW, today I was reading a thread where the poster said that he used different ID's for each thread he participated in. Maybe he does that so others can't follow him from thread to thread (good or bad intentions) . I can't concern myself with the intentions or mind games of others. I'm here to learn and find links to info to help me in my investing.

As I said, I no longer provide that info. AS for SI, I didn't say I was a mutual fund mgr, did I( no intention to plant any seed). In fact my profile is very complete other than my actual name. BTW, I'm not buying or selling anything here.

I have nothing to fear. But..just because I publicised my objection, why do you assume that I"m engaged in fraud, illegal or unethical activity ?
If this is the way you judge people and investments you will never prosper !
I have no more to say and I don't need to defend myself. I regret that this thread and others may loose some great expertise as result of someone's presumably good intentions to clean things up but I'll bet that they would turn back the clock if they knew the impending result. |
