I am aware of the argument for drug legalization, but I have never been convinced that it would not increase drug abuse - especially given that I agree with your view that it would lower prices.

I am less inclined to hold tobacco farmers etc... to the same standard as illegal drug dealers because, one, tobacco is a legal product, and two, I think there is a matter of relative harmfulness to consider when it comes to all drugs. ACID does not = CRACK does not = ALCOHOL does not = ANGEL DUST does not = TOBACCO etc....
