Meth labs are a big problem in my area. None have exploded but when they bust one the guys go in wearing HAZ MAT suits because all the chemicals are nasty. Most of the labs are in the kitchens of apartments and rental homes, many with small children in the house.

Corn is the reason we have so many labs here. Corn needs nitrogen in the form of ammonia and there are 2,000 gallon tanks of NHO4 parked all over in the spring and fall. They can steal it easier here than buy it in most of the US.
