eurozone

January 1st 2002 is E-day. The day when 12 of the 15 European Union member states replace their domestic currency with the euro.

What does this mean for me?
It means that if you have any existing currency from any of the 12 member states below then you will have until the 28th February 2002 to exchange this currency for the euro.

From the 28th February 2002, the existing currencies of these 12 countries will cease to be legal tender. Make sure you change any currency you have before this time to ensure you are still able to utilise it.
