What, pray tell, is a NiMH battery?

Nickel Metal Hylide. Better characteristics than a NiCad. On the cosmetics, look at the first gen., it's a drop in battery pack. On the Q it looks to be a slide on pack that is ergonomic witht he phones style. Battery life times are subjective.
If you are closer to the cellsite then your battery last longer; as you are transmitting at a lower power out. Also times depend on the size of the battery.

As to the rest, this is ususally when contracts are announced and all the players are showing their products (Dallas show). I believe that QCOM does provide Nortel equipment.

Frankly, after the bond boys go back on lithium, I'm considering OCT or JAN 98 calls. We could see this market sell off another 400 pts. or so. Oh boy, another one week correction. Buy dips, which one day could turn into the "Dips got burned!" Just a thought.
