I don't discount the problem with Iran and North Korea. Just as I don't trivialize the Al-Qaeda problem.

What both articles failed to do was address the fact that if Iran were to attack Europe it would be attacking it's source of wealth, those countries that pay for it's oil. This would be counter productive. Iran may well want to attack Israel. So I would expect a pre-emptive strike by either Israel or the US. Which would greatly annoy even greater numbers of Moslems(is that possible?). An Iranian counter move could be a non-agression pact between Israel (similar to that between the USSR and Germany prior to WWII) and Iran.
