Certainly not.

I think that sometimes, in a democracy, folks forget that wars are being fought in their name. All those folks that have died in Iraq, you and I, as US citizens, we are directly responsible. Their blood is on our hands, as if we had pulled the trigger. The innocent shopkeeper in Iraq that mourns the loss of their only child, that's my fault, and your fault. It has to be a very powerful (and clear) greater good, IMHO, to overcome the death and pain that you and I have imposed.

War is war, and good people are dead forever.
