Barry, Kenan, et al,

I hope you don't think that I'm being rude for jumping into the middle of a conversation, but I just thought I'd add my meager experiences from another school. I go to MIT, where, at least among the undergraduate population, they tend to be from wealthier families. A LOT of the undergrads wear North Face stuff, generally fleeces and jackets.

A few of my graduate student friends, though, have North Face clothing as well. Most of the ones I'm thinking of are on research assistantships (maybe with jobs during the summer) and have bought TNFI gear with their own more limited funds because of the reputation and the lovely Boston winters.

Additionally, around town I've been seeing a decent amount of TNFI gear on kids who look too young to be undergrad...hence in high school? (I haven't gone up and asked their stories...)

FWIW,

Bollmonster
