The fan didn't give up the subsequent hits, but.....

Here is the inning without the fan.

One out. Pierre doubles.

Fan doesn't interfere, Alou catches ball, two out, man on second. Pudge singles to left, Pierre scores easily. Two out, one in, man on first but not second.

Next batter grounds to short, but .... there is nobody on second, and that runner on second did cause a distraction to the Cubs' Gonzalez last night, and also caused him to be cheating toward second in double play position and depth. With two out and nobody on second, Gonzalez plays a deep short with full view in front of him, and is able to take that ball straight on, inning over, 3-1. Yes, he should have made the play anyway, at least for a forceout at second, but those little things do have effects in the course of a big inning.
