Somehow the ship stays afloat, and just when we think the rats are gone, they return. Richard Perle, who left the administration earlier this year, has returned to continue to advise. Rumsfeld, whose position we thought usurped by Rice, is still out there. Cheney, the administration herpes, never really goes away though we rarely see him. They've managed to remain unaccountable and unrestrained from steering this nation on a course counter to its citizens best interest.
