Ian, so what does that make Applied Materials? A think tank? For each piece of equipment that AMAT manufactures
there are hundreds of manufacturing vendors and all of the
other infrastructure support services that are necessary
for product fruition. These are jobs and very necessary to
support the manufacturing effort. Let me see a designer
make a chip without the equipment necessary to manufacture
it. LOL...we could argue about our philosophies forever
and not see eye to eye on the subject. I concede that
higher wages go to the higher skilled/trained.....but only
if there is a lower echelon to help support and fund their
efforts.....
