I think the quote made by someone that goes something like "Burned once your fault burned twice my fault" something like that. I am sure that in the long term UPS is going to recover most of the business but that businesses will still give more orders to the other companies just in case this happens again.
I was surprised that they(UPS) had so high of a percentage of the total volume. I would have suspected that the U.S. Postal would be able to handle the load since they have an even more extensive network around the country(not international) but I guess they are more suitable to carry only the lighter weight items. From what I've heard it seems that UPS management thinks that if voted on by the rank and file that the latest offer would have passed. Thought of buying Federal Express stock but not sure if the strike was settled tommorrow if the stock will fall.

P.S. Also surprised that management owns most of the company. Must be one of the largest privately owned business.
