Hi AC,
LOL that's tit for tat..

1) I think the wealth transfer won't be as rapid or of such magnitude as you predict.

2) I also don't think everyone is 'retiring' when they hit that magic age. In my neighbourhood many go into private consulting after 'retiremnet' and one can guess who and for whom they consult. I know that's only anecdotal.

3) It's possible your bubble has a shot but I'm not sold. Too many things can derail it. BTW your vision of the future post your bubble is likely the bleakest on the board :o)
In your favour up here at 69, you must convert your tax deferred investment plan (which like mine can be self-directed) into an annuity (yech), a tax deferred retirement plan where you are required by law to withdraw a fixed percentage annually but past that can invest pretty much as in your retirement savings plan.. or of course cash it in and forfeit much of your gains instantly to taxes.. I'm guessing that there are similarities stateside and there is unlikely to be any great rush to the exits for that reason.

regards
Kastel
