HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- MovieTickets.com announced today it is now offering tickets at select theaters for special extended edition screenings of the first two installments of The Lord of the Rings, as well as a one-day marathon of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, including The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. The special extended editions of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers will feature additional footage not previously included in the films originally released versions. The screenings of Fellowship will take place December 5th-11th and for Two Towers on December 12th-15th in select theaters. Fans can also purchase tickets for a Lord of the Rings marathon, scheduled for December 16th, which will feature the extended editions of Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, followed by the first showings of The Return of the King.
