Yep, turned it down. A buddy of mine is a beach bum in San Diego, was lobbying me pretty hard to take the job. Lives in a little bungalow on the beach near the Navy base. Sort of a 29 year old LindyBill. :)

Comparing costs of living, I wouldn't be gaining much by the move. And Kristel and I have no interest in living in California, though San Diego would be the least of all evils. Our next state will be "snowbird" territory, with luck.
