As expected, Hitachi will consolidate the enterprise HDD businesses. I imagine the largest user of the new HDDs (with Qlogic controllers) will be IBM. Its a new business and Hitachi could become a larger customer than Fujitsu in controllers. The best part of that business is that it is steady, predictable and not a lot of marketing expenses.
