Hello Uncle Frank, Mike Buckley, Apollo and all my other friends on this board.
I note that the Nasdaq average is up about 50% from the lows and I presume all of you are up considerably more than that.
I'm very happy about that for all of you. I personally am staying away from all US stocks as I believe a general disaster is brewing. The US government should invite a meeting of the rulers of Turkey,Saudi Arabia,Kuwait, Syria and Iran and let them divide up Iraq completely. As we know the state of Iraq was an artificial construction by Britain in the 1920's. It's not necessary to preserve it. Then the US could declare victory over Saddam and get out of there.
Of course that won't be done because the primary purpose of US foreign policy is to preserve the domination of the state of Israel over Palestinian territory. It would be a lot cheaper to give all the citizens of Israel, Arab or Jewish, visas to the US and pull out of the middle east altogether.
This would enable a balanced budget, financing of future social security, more dough for scientific research and technological advances. Of course that's a dream. So I keep my money outside of the US. Am I doing as well as you people? Probably not. Am I doing OK? Sure. I sleep nights except when I worry about good people whose security will go down the drain with the idiotic Bush administration. I think only luck can save your investments in the US.
LOL
Malcolm
