well DMA the question is, what kind of effort can we put forth to combat this threat that will actually pay off. There is a huge segment of the population that doesn't think Bush is making us safer with these flippant wars all over the world where the US is the sole participant and as such the sole target for those upset with the situation.

If Bush were really trying to make us safer, on US soil, there are other places to look also. Example the Canadian border and these loose work visa programs, where people shuttle in and out of the country. He won't touch these because there is republican pork attached imho. At least Bush is playing a hard line with Israel and those settlements so his heart is in the right place.

Your question about terrorism and the 2 million people killed is Bush dogma in action imho. He wants everybody in this country to worry about that day, where we all wake up and 2 million people are dead. This is a sad brand of leadership, the complete opposite of the optimism I am looking for anyway.
