I wasn't around in Nazi Germany but the Bushies don't take second place to anyone when it comes to staying on the spin-message and cover-up strategies every single day. If you flip through the radio dials then cable TV you'll hear the hosts repeating non-stop the same arguments-de-jour.

This is a highly organized united front, and yes it's political propaganda, because it has nothing to do with personal opinions or even fact. It comes from the top and it's calculated to retain or gain power. Many times it's also calculated to cover-up scandals and failures.

Today's message is the "booming" economy and how Democrats are anti-American because they dont want Bush to succeed here or in Iraq. (As if they ever wanted a Democrat to succeed). The 1% downtick in jobless claims is treated as if it were the second coming of boom times for all. In fact, all it means is that the joblessness has bottomed. It's not going to get any worse, it seems. But will it get much better? They have no clue. Also, I would say the stock market is very overvalued now. Some tech stocks are higher than they were in 2000.

It's going to get even worse next year with the propaganda, and most of it is going to be a big wave of BS akin to the sliming of war heros Max Cleland, John Kerry and General Clark, or the sliming of hero state department Robert Wilson. They will attempt to "assassinate" anyone they feel threatened by in the public eye, and the charges don't have to be true or even make sense. They just need to sound slimy and be repeated over and over and over in a Nazi type fashion, scapegoating others for our problems and exterminating them politically.
