<<Rambus would still make its 2% cut with little or no capital investment.>> Is it actually 2%? That was just an illustrative guess on my part when I used the #.
<<Doug, how can you be so negative on a stock if: (1) you haven't bothered to understand its products, markets, and competition, and (2) you haven't bothered to investigate its financials? Don't you think you should do that before you spread gloom and doom on the thread? You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but it is more helpful to everyone if you support it with factual underpinnings.>>
Well, I haven't shorted the stock, and certainly would do the work before even thinking of that.
I was hoping that witht he huge volume of posters on the thread that someone could immediately point out to me the error of my thinking, if wrong. But I was reasonably sure I wasn't wrong, the spike up is that incredible.
In my experience there has never been a spike up like this immed. after going public (which involves intense srutiny and disclosure by the underwriters, and establishing a reasonable price based on comparables, if they are quality underwriters) that hasn't been followed rather promptly by a spike down. Which is usually even faster.....
All I am trying to do is warn people. Some on this thread I know and consider friends....
