You are right about no resolutions. I was just writing to K about this.
Ammo just had hand surgery. (He severed a tendon in his index finger). I wept for his pain, and his having to wear a cast for 3 months-- and for his bravely not taking the painpills because he had rehearsal. I think about the pain of this minor thing and then try to extrapolate.
If I could hold his little, warm, braindead body in my arms, there is no way I could let it go. And if there were the slightest hint of response, how much more would I be convinced he was There? And fight to keep him.
If the parents were willing to take the financial burden, why could the husband not go on with his life? Can you get a divorce under those circumstances? Do we NEED her death for some reason? What is the compelling reason for this?
