In view of evidence that this gold bull market has entered a phase where there is increasingly widespread participation resulting in longer rallies and shorter, shallower pullbacks I would guesstimate that there is a 25% probability that the POG and HUI go to new highs from here and a 75% probability that this rally will more typically fizzle leading to an additional 4 to 6 weeks of correction. I don't have my trading style fully defined in an algorithm, so the appropriate %age allocation will remain subjective.

Of brand name acoustic guitars, Martins are definitely my favorite and I have played hundreds. I have a 1968 D-28 myself. You probably know all of this but... 000 is a great size because it is large enough to have more volume and bass response, yet not as large and deep as the D models which can be somewhat uncomfortably large for casual living room playing. -18 models have a mahogany back and sides which have a different tone from the -28 models which have rosewood back and sides. Overriding all of this is the huge variety of sound and playing characteristics from one guitar to the next... even on identical models made in the same year. Some are wonderful and others are dogs, whether old or new. I find that it helps to make a direct, in-person comparison with other guitars that I like.
