Again..."Opteron-family" cpu's have an average ASP about 4x that of k7's.AMD needs to sell only one "Opteron-family" cpu to reap revenues equal to 4 k7's.At the limit when "Opteron-family" has replaced k7, assuming same number of cpu's, AMD will generate $2 billion/quarter from there cpu division in addition to whatever flash revenues "trickle" in! And that's with a cost base of $1 billion... Gotta love AMD's prospects in FY04 as the "Opteron-family" rollout gains momentum... FY04 profit of $1 billion, anyone?
