ACF, Saddam's demise would be a good excuse to call it quits. But don't you think that the military advantage of having a big base right there next to Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia is too tempting? Better to fight the WAT right there on Al Q's home turf [that's the current theory used].

I really don't think the USA will pull out.

It will however be very tempting to pull out, which would stop the daily killing and injuring of USA soldiers. As the election looms, it'll become more of an issue. So by next Iraqi summer, most troops should be queuing to leave and some handover organized.
