Did anyone catch this story on ZDNET?..... What a croc. zdnet.com.com Here's an excerpt: Analysts expected the chipmaker to post a 36 cents per share loss and revenue of $858 million, according to First Call. A First Call representative, however, said that the analysts' consensus estimate excluded some flash-memory revenue relating to AMD's acquisition of FASL, a flash-memory joint venture between AMD and Fujitsu. The representative said AMD likely beat estimates but it is unclear by how much. So according to this story, the analysts didn't miss the estimates by much, they just plain didn't have a clue. Ed
