But if deep down inside I knew but couldn't express that knowledge to those who were starving me, I for one would be mighty upset. OTOH, if you knew what was going on, what are the chances you'd want to go on living like that? It could go either way. The worst nightmare would be to know what was happening and not be able to express yourself. Still, whether you are really a vegetable or whether you are alert inside a dead body, either way you're better off dead, at least I would feel that way were it me. The real tragedy, on the off chance that I could feel the pain, would be them starving me for however long it took rather than giving me a shot of whatever it is that they give convicted murderers. That's outrageous.
