In retrospect, yes, they obviously kept Pedro in too long. However, speaking as a Yankee fan, I was yelling at Little to take Pedro out because except for Giambi, no Yankee was able to plate any runs against him despite numerous chances. In my mind, I pictured the Yankees finally lighting up the Boston bullpen, not Pedro. It just seemed to be Pedro's day, as it was Clemens' in Game 3. I guess Little had that gut feeling as well, just like Dusty had about Prior in the other Game 7. It may well be the Cubs and Red Sox would have lost regardless, but, for better or worse, that's something we'll be debating forever.
