Bob,

If I had children they'd be darn sure headed for a quality education. One that would assure they wouldn't be headed for those "important "manufacturing jobs" you so dearly desire.

Everyone cannot go to school and come out a consultant or manager! The numbers simply do not add up. And throw away the manufacturing base and there will be even fewer jobs for the college grads to manage. This is not a concern to be had only in political years. These are real people behind real jobs which are vanishing. Micron Technology is one of the low cost producers of DRAM and yet they are based here. Japanese car manufacturers set up plants here. It is wholly disingenuous to say that we are unable to compete with the rest of the world.
