I do not understand why the hospital is allowed to make a decision that she CAN'T be fed.

Since the case apparently will be discussed here when Rambi and X finish their life-and-death activities, the gym and Costco <g>, I guess I'll have to read up on it. You might want to do so as well.

A husband has the authority to make this decision in collaboration with her caregivers. His decision was challenged by her family, but a judged ruled that the husband had control. That's the way these things work if there is no advance directive from the patient.
