I am amazed to find myself taking up the cudgels to defend Conservative Christians. This attack by the LA Times is too clever by half. They got the story and decided to "Break" it on TV, then add on to it in the paper. They obviously didn't want to be "out front" with it. Using a "Jihad" quote when they admit it was never said is outrageous.

This General is not a nut, just a man who is outspoken about his beliefs and thinks that we are in a Religious war with the Muslims. You may not agree with his viewpoint, but it is a reasonable one, and is entitled to a hearing. If someone wants to characterize him as a "Brig. Gen. Jack D. Ripper," that's fair comment.

What astounds me is the constant media attitude makes them walk around Muslims with fear of offending them, while it is open warfare on Christians.

Coming on top of the Arnold smear, it really makes the "LA Times" look bad. I am surprised that "Romensko" has not picked the story up.

Hugh Hewitt is a Christian conservative Talk show host in LA with an excellent reputation and a good following. This story is really throwing meat to a hungry lion for him.
