Kerry will either win, tie or come in a close second in New Hampshire. Dean's support there is tenuous and being eaten away at steadily. 30% are still undecided. Meanwhile Kerry has lined up every top endorsement in the Dem party there, and McCain, Hart and Kennedy are more than willing to help him. Those are very popular people in NH. dean is basically going it alone. No endorsements at all.

Iowa is a caucus which Gephardt pretty much controls. A second or third place finish there is fine. Only Gephardt can be really hurt three if he doesn't win impressively.

As I've said before, I expect this to go all the way to the convention with three men left standing; Kerry, Clark and Dean in that order. That order because Kerry will pick up the delegates of the also-rans. Dean will be rejected as a nominee leaving Kerry or Clark. The idea will be to team them up. In this race, the party powers and also-ran candidates like Lieberman, Gephardt and Edwards will control enough delegates to anoint the winner. Those three would all endorse Kerry unless Clark makes a really smashing showing.

Either way, likely it will be a double Silver Star team versus an AWOL deserter and a draft-dodging energy thief. All of Bush's money won't be able to buy the credibility they'd need if two war heros take away their military issues.
