Yes, it is. I was contrasting it with science. Science is quite capable of seeking order in the universe without juggling the thoughts of madmen and ancient nuts.

Modern people do not follow ancient fools in their ignorance of things. Why should they follow them in their ignorance of things?

They did not know the tungsten of the light bulb. They knew so little, but they imagined much.

One does not need to be a primitive fool or accept primitive fool thoughts to adress the universe. Stupidity is not a precondition for addressing ultimate questions...

Modern people can hope for an orderly universe on a rational basis without recourse to supernaturalism which means absolutely nothing.
