Any deaths are regrettable, and we mourn their loss and those of their families and friends.

The media has arbitrarily decided to measure success and failure by the American body count. Ironically, when the LBJ people and generals tried to do that in Vietnam, it turned out to be a big mistake. We killed lots of North Vietnamese but lost the war. It was a big scandal. The media hasn't learned a thing.

What have you read or seen on tv about anything good that's happening in Iraq? Do you really, really believe it's the anarchical "Mad Max" culture portrayed by the media? Come on, get with it. Be skeptical of the slanted media reports.

Sometimes life is tough, little Dipy, but we must persevere.
