Steve, <for me the issue is Windows for AMD64 and software. As soon as it comes up and Intel is still behind, then we may be doing alright. To me Intel still has time to easily catch AMD on 64.> With the current schedules, it is pretty safe to to consider anything on the 64-bit Windows platform as a H2 2004 thing. I don't see much hope beyond Linux servers until then. On 32-bit code Prescott is going to be an extremely good competitor. It is going to be a much closer battle on the desktop without Windows64. So, unlike the original Athlon spike which lasted for a year and half, it is difficult see legs behind this run beyond Q1 2004. It could happen but not having a viable OS makes it very difficult to predict. Chuck
