Taliban have much in common with extreme right-wing Christians. Repressing female sexuality, music, free thought, declaring war on other religions, etc. Just like al forms of totalitarianism, all forms of extreme religion become the same. Remember, almost all religions worship the same "God" just with different cultural manifestations. Also, "God" is different to everyone, and should never be merged with government. Whenever that happens you have a form of Talibanism which ironically becomes "evil".
